Sightseeing Bus

Berlin's sightseeing buses have different routes and stops to get to know the city's main landmarks from a unique perspective and at your own pace.

Thanks to the numerous bus routes on offer, you'll get to know Berlin from an entirely new perspective:

City Sightseeing

This is one of the main sightseeing buses in Berlin. The City Sightseeing company also operates in other European cities and has stops at the main tourist spots in Germany's capital. It includes a recorded commentary in a variety of languages and you're free to hop on and off as many times as you'd like over the course of 24 or 48 hours. The City Sightseeing bus offers two different routes:

  • Classic Route: lasting 120 minutes, this route has 18 stops, including Alexanderplatz, Brandenburg Gate, and the Berlin Zoo.
  • East Berlin + Berlin Wall Route: this route lasts 60 minutes and has 8 stops, including the East Side Gallery and Oranienburger Straße.

Schedule & Frequency

City Sightseeing Berlin operates every day but each route has different timetables. The Classic Route runs from 9:30 am to 4 pm, every 20 minutes. The East Berlin + Berlin Wall route, on the other hand, also begins at 9:30 but ends at 4:30, running every 40 minutes. The last bus leaves at 3 pm.

City Sightseeing Prices

  • 24-hour ticket: 30 (US$ 31.56) for adults and 15 (US$ 15.78) for children aged 6-14
  • 48-hour ticket: 34 (US$ 35.77) for adults and 17 (US$ 17.88) for children aged 6-14

Big Bus

Being one of the biggest sightseeing bus companies in the world, Big Bus offers the chance to explore Berlin's unmissable landmarks. The bus lets you hop on and hop off as many times as you want at any of its stops over the course of 24 or 48 hours.

Big Bus has two routes: the Red Line has 17 stops in the centre of Berlin and lasts 120 minutes. It starts at Ku'Damm and passes spots like Museum Island and Brandenburg Gate. The Blue Line only has 4 stops and lasts 40 minutes, and it'll allow you to visit Alexanderplatz and the East Side Gallery.

Schedule & Frequency

Big Bus Berlin has the following schedule:

  • Red Line: from 10 am to 4 pm, every 20-30 minutes
  • Blue Line: From 10:15 am to 4:15 pm, every 60 minutes
     

Big Bus Prices

  • 24-hour ticket: 37 (US$ 38.92) for adults and 25 (US$ 26.30) for children aged 5-15
  • 48-hour ticket: 47 (US$ 49.45) for adults and 30 (US$ 31.56) for children aged 5-15


The 48-hour ticket also includes a tasting of a traditional German sausage (the currywurst) and a guided walking tour of Berlin in English or German.

Boat Trip

When booking the Big Bus Berling, you'll have the option to include a boat trip along the Spree River. You can include this single-use trip with your 24 or 48-hour ticket. 

This 1-hour trip includes an English or German-speaking guide and runs from March to November. 

The boat's schedule is as follows: 11:15 am, 12:45 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:45 pm, and 5:15 pm. This schedule is available from March 29 to November 3.
